                                       Repair / Restoration Enquiries

Hello there!

Due to ongoing (over four years), persistent (at least three every day and during the night), nuisance enquiries (always spurious) and harassment (aggressive or abusive) via email, Whatsapp and text, my 'contact' policy for repairs has changed dramatically, and you will not find my email address or mobile number here for that reason! The problem has now extended into items actually being sent; nuisance enquires via post (see below) and issues over sent repairs now massively, and suspiciously, exceed successful completions. Should you find the following unacceptable, then I thank you for your initial interest and wish you well in finding a site more suited to your requirements.

Should you genuinely require my assistance regarding a restoration / repair, then please read ALL of the following. There is absolutely no room for negotiation regarding what follows.

In the first instance, please consult the Price Guide / FAQ page. The Guide is comprehensive, FREE TO LOOK AT and will 

1. advise on how to determine costs for all work required

2. provide information on what I can / cannot do, and will / will not accept

3. provide information regarding the conditions surrounding different jobs (eg. client supplies all material for a re-covering or patching).

Subsequent posting means you have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions on the FAQ / Price Guide page. 

 

• Should you either like me to go ahead with work or for me to provide a quote following examination of the potential patient in person, please post (address below) to me. I will get in touch immediately, and will send bank details for a £10 deposit. Once received, a full quote and advice, if required, will be emailed. PLEASE ENSURE THE PACKAGING IN WHICH THE PATIENT IS SENT IS SUITABLE FOR A RETURN JOURNEY REGARDING SIZE AND DURABILITY. If the quote is accepted, I will NOT begin any work until I've received a further £15 via bank transfer for work up to £100, £25 for work up to £150, and £40 for work above £150; these payments will be deducted from the final cost. Should you not accept the quote or 'change you mind' once the patient is here, they will be returned at your expense.

 

• Should you prefer that I give a consultation, offer advice, enter into any sort of discussion, or provide a quote before you decide to send or not, then please send a letter to the address below. Remember to include your email address CLEARLY AND CORRECTLY or I can't get back to you. Once received, I'll send bank details for a £10 deposit. Once that has been received, we can go from there.

 

• Given the fact that I will email you immediately after I've opened the box (the latest the postie ever comes is 4pm) and had a look, I will need a response by 9pm that day. As most people are literally glued to their phones (have a look when you're next out) and I've had responses within 3 minutes, this is totally reasonable, especially when you're expecting a message from me! If you will only be able to respond once every 24 hours, I can't help you; I just can't work at such a slow pace. If this time-boundary is ignored, I will simply email return postage costs and options and, if appropriate, 'For my Time', costs.

I DO NOT ACCEPT DROP-OFFS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

PLEASE, PLEASE make sure the box / packaging you use to send will be sufficiently large to accommodate a return journey! Should the packaging received be insufficient, I will NOT post back until your send something suitable.

And, please remember, should you require patching or a full covering, INCLUDE THE MATERIAL YOU WANT USED! If it's not included, I'll ask for it to be sent.

That's it! If you sincerely want my help, please take one of the above actions. They are the ONLY ways in which I will interact: there are NO exceptions. ANY initial communication which violates these boundaries, or deviates in any respect from the above methods of getting in touch, WILL BE IGNORED.
